Isn't she just so cute. This is a Northern Flying Squirrel that came to us from Burlington. It was in a wheel well of a car with a cat sitting below it. She doesn't have any injuries that we can find, but we will have her on antibiotics for a few days to ensure that if the cat got her she will be okay.
Some facts, she is just over a hundred grams. Has huge dark eyes, but that is what you get when you are nocturnal, and about the size of my hand. When I was examining her all she wanted to do was climb to the highest place, which seemed to be my shoulder or my head and look for somewhere to jump to.
Other than that... we still have 2 seals, 4 raccoons, 5 fawns. Plus a Canada goose, a Barred owl, saw-whet owl, pygmy owl, and a rock pigeon.
